FRIDAY, MAY 4, 2007

Registration, Campus Tours, Cocktails and Class Dinners

5:30 – 10:00 PM Student Activity Center, Queen Lane Campus
Class Dinners are the heart of Alumni Weekend! This opening event is held on the beautiful Queen Lane Medical School Campus (free shuttle service at all reunion hotels to and from the event.) Student Ambassadors will provide an insider’s tour of the medical school. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served in the sky-lit, botanical atrium. Reunion classes will share an elegant dinner with their classmates at special reunion class tables in the Student Activity Center.



CME Program: Horizons in Infectious Disease and Cancer
8:30 – 11:30 AM Hahnemann University Hospital – Geary Auditorium , Broad & Vine Streets, Philadelphia, PA
Take advantage of this 2 credit CME program presented by College of Medicine faculty members. The College of Medicine is home to a comprehensive center for HIV/AIDS research and patient care that provides primary care to over 1,000 adults infected with HIV in the Delaware Valley.

Dean’s Lunch

11:30 – 1:00 PM Hahnemann University Hospital – Geary Lobby
Meet with Annenberg Dean and Senior Vice President, Health Affairs, Richard V. Homan, M.D., faculty members, and classmates in the lobby of Hahnemann Hospital. .


College of Medicine Update, Alumni Association Annual Meeting and Archives Presentation
1:00 - 2:30 PM Hahnemann University Hospital – Geary Auditorium
Dr. Homan and Dr. Schindler will present an update on the College of Medicine’s strategic plan and academic programs. Alumni Association President Dr. Donald Girard will review events and programs sponsored by the Alumni Association. Archivist Barbara Williams will present a special program filled with archival photos, facts and antidotes detailing the origins of both WMC and Hahnemann.

Join recipients of the Alumni Association Awards and members of the Class of 1982 on their Silver Dragon Society induction. Reminisce with your classmates about your medical school days at Woman’s Medical, MCP, Hahnemann or DUCOM as you gather with your friends before the University Gala.

Alumni Weekend Closing Brunch - Honoring Dr. Charles Puglia, Ph.D.

Opera Company of Philadelphia presents “Falstaff” by Giuseppe Verdi
2:30 PM The Academy of Music, Broad & Locusts Streets
The literary genius of Shakespeare and the comparable musical riches of Verdi are married in this, Verdi’s final operatic work – considered by many to be his greatest masterpiece.
