Dragons Earns Second CAA Victory in Women’s Lacrosse
DrexelDragons.com - Norfolk , Va. - Junior Colleen Rocks fired in three goals as Drexel defeated Colonial Athletic Association rival Old Dominion, 12-7. Drexel netted four goals in the first 12 minutes of the game to improve its record to 9-3, 2-3 (CAA). Old Dominion falls to 3-8, 0-4 (CAA). SoE and Apple Provide Free iPods to Incoming Freshmen
Drexelink - This fall, incoming School of Education freshmen will receive the latest Apple iPods to hit the market – the 30-GB iPod Photo – for free. The School partnered with Apple Computer Inc. on Drexel’s iPods in Education Initiative. The announcement was made by SoE Director Dr. William Lynch. Students will learn how to incorporate the iPods in the classroom to be more effective educators. SoE faculty will also receive iPods and integrate their use into the curriculum, challenging students to think of creative ways to use the tool. More
Department of Performing Arts presents CABARET
Drexel University’s Department of Performing Art’s and the Mandell Theater are pleased to present Cabaret on May 6-8 and 12-14. Cabaret was first produced in 1966 and most recently revived in 1998 where it remains one of the most daringly modern Broadway musicals. The production features student actors, singers and dancers from the Department of Performing Arts and will be directed by Adelle Rubin, Drexel's Director of Theatre Programs. Grab your lawn chairs and join fellow alumni, crew members & parents in cheering on Drexel Crew at the Dad Vail Regatta - the largest collegiate regatta in the U.S. on Saturday, May 14, from noon - 3 p.m. at Boathouse Row, Schuylkill River. Mural Arts Tour of Philadelphia
On Saturday, May 21, join fellow alumni in experiencing the "Best of Philly"! Start with a brunch beginning at 10 a.m. at the Astral Plane Restaurant, voted "Best Brunch" by CitySearch in 2004. Spring Dinner at Simon Pearce hosted by Chester County
An all Drexel Alumni Spring Dinner is being hosted by the Club of Chester County on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Simon Pearce in West Chester, PA. Observe traditional glassblowers at work, browse in the shop, and enjoy creative American cuisine with Irish accents, served on Simon Pearce glass and pottery, while overlooking the historic Brandywine River. The Workshop tour begins at 6 p.m. with a private dinner immediately following. $40 per person which includes an exclusive 10% discount in the retail store. "Capture a Compelling Career", Montgomery County Networking Dinner
Be sure to attend as Career Coach Susan Race is welcomed by the Alumni Club of Montgomery County on Wednesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. to talk about finding jobs, career coaching and occupational transitions.
