Mandell Theater World Premiere
The Department of Performing Arts opens their 2005-2006 season with the world-premier of Ahab: A Musical Odyssey.  Join us as we follow Ahab on an odyssey of self-discovery and determination as he searches for his roots, while experiencing life, love, and loss. This original musical was created by composer and Drexel Professor, Bud Noble; is directed by Bill Pollock, Theatre Program Director; and stars alumnus Josh Browns ’98, pictured left. The show opens on Thursday, November 10 and runs through Sunday, November 20.

The Drexel Players is offering all alumni a discounted ticket price of $5 for any of the performances in special appreciation of its returning alumni talent including scenic designer Jason Hinebaugh '05.

George Stephanopoulos to Speak at LeBow Program
Drexelink - George Stephanopoulos, host of the ABC news program This Week and former press secretary and communications director for President Bill Clinton, will be the guest speaker at the LeBow College of Business program “Industry Perspectives: The Business of Politics with George Stephanopoulos.” The program will be held on October 25 at 9 a.m. in Behrakis Grand Hall on the University City Main Campus.

Business Leader of the Year
C.R. “Chuck” Pennoni ’63, ’66, Hon. ’92, Drexel trustee and chairman of Pennoni Associates Inc., Consulting Engineers, will receive Drexel’s 52nd Business Leader of the Year award at a luncheon in his honor on December 1 at noon at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue.

In 1966, Mr. Pennoni founded Pennoni Associates Inc., a multi-disciplinary engineering firm focusing on civil infrastructure systems. It currently employs approximately 700 professionals and support staff throughout seven east coast states. Mr. Pennoni has served on engineering advisory boards for Widner University, University of Pennsylvania, and Drexel.

He served as chair of the Board of Trustees from 1997-2003 and as President and CEO of the university during the academic year of 1994-95. He has been inducted into the National Academy of Engineers, was president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the United Engineering Trustees, Inc., and the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology and was recently knighted by the President of Italy.

Annual Alumni Turkey Project
Help the Office of Alumni Relations continue the tradition and sponsorship of our Holiday Turkey Project.  For over 30 years the Alumni Association has organized this event to give back to university neighborhoods.  Last year, a record 2,068 turkeys were distributed to families in the University communities. This means that many families were able to enjoy a festive holiday meal because of the generosity of alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff. Alumni Basketball Game
Join fellow alumni on January 21 as the Dragon’s take on the Delaware Blue Hens in one of the most anticipated games this season.  Cheer on the team; join us in the DAC Hospitality Suite and get pumped up for a victory at our indoor tailgate prior to the game at 2:30 p.m. Enjoy a menu fit for a true sports fan. Cirque du Soleil's Corteo
On Saturday, November 19 the Alumni Club of Northern California invites you to experience a spectacle, where illusion teases reality. Cirque du Soleil's Corteo "brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth".
