Alyssa Kalter

Alyssa is a Nutrition Educator with Drexel University’s SNAP-Ed Eat Right Now program.

She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Environmental Studies. Before joining the team at Drexel University, sheworked at Penn State, abroad, and out on the West Coast for different organizations dedicated to building a healthier and more sustainable food system.

Her favorite part of her job is working with and building lasting relationships with school teachers, staff, and students so that she may better understand the needs of the communities she works in.

Her hobbies include being with friends and cooking - especially with fresh food she can find locally or grow herself! However, on the weekends you can usually find her at one of Philadelphia’s many restaurants trying new foods and expanding her palate.
